Diplômes universitaires
2019: Doctor in Geological Sciences (Université de Liège - Belgium)

Biographie

Dr. Hocine Djouder is a Geoscientist, Sedimentologist - Clay Mineralogist with over 10 years of international R&D experience in applied geoscience, unconventional hydrocarbon exploration, and research. He earned his PhD in Geological Sciences from the University of Liège, Belgium (2019), under the supervision of Prof. F. Boulvain and Dr. S. Lüning, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia. His doctoral research, Silurian Succession from North Africa: Sedimentology, Ichnology, and Thermal History for a New Era of Hydrocarbon Exploration, integrated sedimentology, ichnology, mineralogy, diagenesis, geochemistry, petrophysics, and hydrocarbon volume estimation.

Dr. Djouder also holds an International Master in Advanced Clay Science from the University of Poitiers, France (2013), an MSc in Sedimentology from Paris-Saclay University in partnership with BeicipFranlab-IFP Énergies nouvelles (2011), and an Engineering Degree in Geology from the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene, Algeria (2010).

His expertise covers fine-grained sedimentary rocks, black shales, and clay minerals, combining field investigation, advanced mineralogical and geochemical characterization with thermal history reconstruction. He has worked at world-class institutions, including CSIRO (Australia) and the Polish Academy of Sciences (Poland), contributing to major projects such as the Silurian Deep Shale Gas Project (Algeria), the SHARC Consortium, and the Blue Gas N'R'G.
